To handle all the logistics that accompany its operations, DHL maintains elaborate communications and IT systems. DHL chose Symphony to supply, install and commission GE Lanpro uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems to protect the equipment supporting these systems at locations in Nairobi, Kenya and Uganda.
World Food Program
Following the breakdown of a single uninterruptible supply (UPS) backup power system in 2006, that almost crippled its logistics operations, the World Food Program (WFP) chose Symphony to install a parallel UPS system incorporating the unique GE Redundant Parallel Architecture (RPA), with no single point of failure. This system supports the WFP's computer system located at their Mombasa office, to ensure its regional food distribution and humanitarian operations proceed uninterrupted.
